Supporting Team Booble Gum

One of the best things, if not the best thing we get to do at Rink Side is help others.  Whether it be providing a joyful experience to a young birthday child, teaching ice skating or hockey or supporting causes that help the community.  It is especially enjoyable when we can help our fans whom we believe to be part of our family.

Valerie Pozen is the mom of a skater that has been skating at Rink Side since she was a young girl.  Valerie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and again in 2009.  Valerie is a member of Team Booble Gum which is captained by Rink Side Skating Instructor Hiedi Walsh, Valerie's daughters first ice skating instructor.  In years past, Hiedi has done the 3 day walk in Valerie's honor.  This year Valerie will be one year clean and has decided to walk in dedication to Leyden fighters and survivors who know the battle all to well.

Rink Side Sports would like to thank Hiedi and Valerie for what they are doing   We wish them good luck and support in this years walk.
